How to change your Profile Picture on WordPress (Gravatar)

Here’s my quick and easy tutorial on how to change your Profile Picture on WordPress. It uses a cool system called Gravatar so your image follows you across the Internet.

It’s really easy to setup your Profile Picture on WordPress.

Here’s how.

Step 1: Check the email address your using

Go into the user area on your WordPress website and double-check the email address you’re using.

Gravatar works by linking your photo to your email address.

Step 2: Sign-up at Gravatar.com

Head over to gravatar.com and sign-up with the same email address.

If you already have a profile it will show up, if not you’ll be prompted to create one.

Step 3: Take a photo or upload from your computer

You can use your computer webcam to take a photo.

It’s probably better to upload one though 😉

Once uploaded you can crop it and make it fit nice.

Step 4: That’s it. Check your website

Your new Gravatar should now be showing on your website (and every other website you’re registered on).
