In my quest to improve my business by improving myself, I’ve discovered the incredible power of habits.

Adjusting the good and bad things you do every single day can have a huge impact on your life and business.

I learned a lot about habits by reading Atomic Habits by James Clear.

A few rules I’m following to help with my habits

  • Try and do the habit every day, no matter how small
  • Keep the streak going, don’t miss a day
  • If you do break a habit, resume it the next day. Don’t miss more than one day!
  • If you do mess up with a bad habit, don’t go crazy. So if you’re trying to stop smoking and you have a cigarette, don’t then smoke a whole pack because you may as well, because you broke the habit.

Some of the daily habits I’m working on are:

  • Going to be early
  • Waking up early
  • Publishing content everyday
  • Lifting weights everyday
  • Getting sun on my body
  • Reading (well audiobooks)

Things I’m reducing or removing are:

  • Daily caffeine
  • Going to bed past midnight
  • Excessive alcohol

And it’s working really well. Small changes are already showing BIG BENEFITS!
