That’s what everyone says.
So I decided that i’d better start sending out a regular newsletter.
For my Estepona website I’ve started building an email list using a simple popup that I created with the amazing Spectra Page Builder.
The list is growing slowly, but steadily.
In this video, I take you through how I’ve been sending out a weekly inspiration newsletter using Omnisend.
It’s really easy to create some good looking, engaging emails that get read and get opened.

However, this one does seem to be quite positive as some bit sites, like RetroDodo and HouseFresh that were hit hard in the previous updates, are getting rankings, snippets, and traffic back.

It’s going pretty well. I just need to add more content more quickly.
Here are the key stats:
Content:
- 16 General Articles
- 39 Directory posts
- 18 Products
General Traffic:
- Around 40 a day
- Direct is the biggest source
- Then Google
- Then Facebook
Search:
- 16 clicks a day
- Impressions on over 676 keywords
Social:
- Instagram has over 1000 followers
- Engagement is ok – gets likes and comments – mostly negative about the town
- Facebook page growing with Ads – 6p per like – Total followers: 313
- YouTube: 294 subs and over 30,000 views so far
- X: very slow 37 – followers
- Pinterest: very slow
- TikTok: very slow

]]>Google recently destroyed thousands of people’s earnings by making changes to Google Search.
Now, they’ve turned their attention to YouTube.
The shareholders at Google want more money so the plan is to keep you on Google products, like YouTube and Search for as long as possible.

It looks like some sites are seeing a bit of an increase in traffic from Google again!
If you read the comments, other people are agreeing they’ve seen a bit of a recovery, too.
Unfortunately, I’m not seeing it on my existing sites yet.

]]>I’ve been running some Facebook ads to sell some Estepona-inspired t-shirts.
I’ll be sharing all the info soon.
However, something weird happened yesterday.
A conversion was reported in my account…
The thing is, I knew for a fact that this didn’t come from Facebook.
The order was from my mum..
..she was ordering a Tee as a gift for my dad. 
And my mum doesn’t have Facebook or Instagram..
This smelt really fishy to me.
So I reached out to facebook to find out what was going on..
Something didn’t seem right to me…
They’ve said I should remove the domain or something. I’m not sure how that’ll help.
What do you think?
Any experience with this? What do you think? 
Are Meta scamming me so I spend more on ads? Or is it a configuration problem?
